Belief Coding® is a new, powerful technique created and developed by Jessica Cunningham, which uses elements of Psychology, NLP, CBT, EFT, Meditation, Matrix-Reimprinting, Emotion Coding, Kinesiology and Energy Healing.

What is Belief Coding?

Belief Coding®  accesses and reprograms your sub-conscious beliefs.  Our belief systems create our character and the foundations of who we are, and what you believe to be true for you will be totally different to someone else because of your own personal experiences and influences which created your belief system. They dictate our thoughts, actions and behaviours and Self-limiting beliefs can feel like heavy chains that keep us feeling stuck, limited, scared or that we are not enough – yet so often they are invisible and below our conscious awareness.

Self-limiting beliefs are negative thoughts or beliefs about yourself or your abilities that hold you back from achieving your goals. Limiting beliefs can be formed from a variety of sources, including childhood experiences, negative feedback from others, projections and self-doubt. Energetic trauma occurred and then that trauma then created a belief to keep you safe and familiar.

 As our adult beliefs are predominantly based on what was created as a child between the ages of 0-7, the majority of us fully grown adults are actually operating like scared children, not wanting to experience pain, failure or rejection again.


Energetic trauma is a type of trauma that is stored in the body’s energy field. It can be caused by any type of traumatic event, including physical, emotional, or psychological trauma. When we experience a traumatic event, our energy field can become fragmented or blocked. This can lead to a variety of physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms

A energetic trauma is where an emotion gets frozen in time in the energetic system. You had a bodily reaction that did not feel good, and that reaction stayed in the body – it didn’t get discharged and the emotion became trapped.

An unhealed/trapped emotion will keep a memory remain active as the brain hasn’t been able to file it properly due to that emotional charge attached, and the subconscious would be creating protective barriers, in the form of limiting beliefs,  to stop you being in that situation again and feeling that discomfort again. 

Most energetic trauma is experienced as a child between the age of 0-7, as we didn’t have the rational mind we have now to figure it out any differently. Our perception now may be very different to how that child at that moment would have perceived it.

The emotion would have been created by your knowledge, conditioning, and perception at the time the event occurred.

Most people perceive trauma as a big event, and of course, it can be. However, it does not need to be big event – it can be as simple as your mum not picking you up when you were 3 years old because she was busy, and that may have been highly distressing for that child at that moment.

Belief Coding® is a great way of clearing these limited beliefs by addressing them at their source. It taps into the subconscious mind, allowing us to revisit the exact moment when emotion got trapped in our bodies, thus forming the limiting belief.

By taking the emotional charge out of the memory, and releasing the emotion that has been trapped in our bodies, we can let go of the limiting belief and create a more positive and empowering one, allowing us to be and move forward in the way we truly want to.
